Disco Park

A Nature-Led Urban get-away

Project Overview

Located within Discovery Park and in close proximity to the Lekki Conservation Center, this short-stay apartment was designed as a calm urban sanctuary shaped by nature. The project explores the dialogue between contemporary living and a wellness-driven interiorscape, using bountiful greens, natural textures, the science of geographic features and finishes to create a grounded, restorative home that responds thoughtfully to its lush, environmentally rich context.

Client Brief

The client sought modernism that feels calm, intentional, and deeply connected to nature despite its urban setting. Without going to say, we induced the strong need for prioritizing ambient effects to visibly promote wellness as an anchor philosophy. A refined aesthetic was required— rich, organic, uncluttered, and robustly expressive of the surrounding natural landscape.

They wanted:

  • A calm home-away-from-home setting, inspired by nearby natural surroundings
  • A modern environment that feels warm, grounded, and timeless
  • Functional spaces suited for living, resting, and entertaining
  • Unreserved exploration of greenery, green accents and textures reflecting nature without being overpowering

Our Approach

Our approach centred on biophilic thinking and spatial clarity. We translated the calm of the surrounding conservation landscape into the interior through material choices, colour accents, and layered lighting. Each space was carefully composed to encourage ease, comfort, and emotional balance—prioritising how the home feels as much as how it functions. Taking into cognizance that the property is for shortlet hospitality purposes, our design also considered a wide range of user needs, objectively and statistically. Certain civil modifications such as window enlargement, kitchen reorganization etc, had to be made to optimize functionality of the building.

Our Approach
01

Discovery and Concept

Interpreting site context and user needs to define a nature-led interior narrative.

02

Spatial Strategy

Increasing fenestration sizes and openings to enhance light travel, openness, and increased functionality.

03

Design, Materiality and Interpretation

Layering warm woods, muted greens, soft stone textures, and tactile finishes.

Outcome

Outcome

The completed home is a serene, thoughtfully layered environment that reflects both its location and its occupants’ lifestyle. Nature-inspired accents, balanced proportions, and calm material choices come together to create a restorative living experience. The project stands as an early expression of Blanchub’s Nature-Led Living direction—where interior architecture and design become quiet yet powerful tools for everyday wellness.
