A Bold Dialogue Between Light, Form, and Colours.

Project Overview

The Grafix House marked our first full turnkey residential project—received as a raw carcass and transformed into a highly expressive, light-driven family home. Within a compact building footprint of roughly 150sqm, the design celebrates architectural play, layered lighting, and spatial illusion, resulting in a residence that feels expansive, theatrical, and deeply personal despite its compact urban scale.

Client Brief

The clients desired a contemporary family home that felt bold, artistic, and unconventional while remaining fully functional for a family of five. The brief called for generous living spaces, distinct yet cohesive interiors, strong natural light, and a home that feel ms experiential—almost gallery-like—without sacrificing comfort or everyday practicality.

They wanted:

  • A contemporary home with strong personality and expression.
  • Fully ensuite bedrooms and well-zoned family living areas.
  • A well equipped entertainment zone on the open roof pent floor.
  • A functional yet visually exciting home for modern family life.

Our Approach

The Grafix House was conceived as an exploration of perception—how light, material, and form can visually expand space and shape experience. With minimal structural alterations, we focused on verticality, transparency, and lighting innovation. Each level was carefully choreographed to feel distinct yet connected, allowing the home to unfold gradually as one moves through it.

Outcome

The completed Grafix House is a compact architectural statement rich in character and experience. From the classic yet art-infused ground floor living area to the vibrant, light-filled main living spaces above, the home thrives on contrast. Skylights, glass floors, and layered illumination create dynamic light play throughout the day, while nature-inspired bathrooms and sculptural elements add depth and intrigue. The result is a home that feels expansive, immersive, and unapologetically bold—an enduring expression of contemporary living through the lens of light, colour and form.
